Foreign/Canadian Orders
Our best recommendation is that customers from Europe, Australia or New Zealand should use their UK or European shoe size equivalent to base the conversions on since that size is listed inside many of your shoes for comparison. This is a much more accurate basis for comparison rather than using a centimeter measurement for shoe sizes or widths. We are not responsible for size conversions and customers (especially in Australia and New Zealand) may also want to research these conversions or look them up on their own on Google since the size conversions for Australia are sometimes different than ours on different websites.
SHIPPING INFORMATION
Since we use the US Postal Service (USPS Global Express Mail) to ship internationally, we can ship to post office boxes in any of the countries listed above. We do not ship to PO Boxes in the U.S since we use UPS shipping and they do not deliver to Post Office Boxes.
USPS has converted their shipping rates to dimensional based rates rather than by weight alone and as a result, any multiple pair orders will be shipped in separate cartons since the rates will be lower that way than if they are shipped together. For example: if two pairs of boots weigh 7 lbs., their dimensions would put them into a 30 lb. category thereby raising their shipping cost four-fold if they ship together in one carton.
You will receive an email with tracking information when your order is processed so that you can be aware of your pending delivery. IMPORTANT: After you have received your email from us with your tracking information, please keep track of your package either by visiting the UPS or US Postal Service (USPS) websites so that your boots are not returned to the US. Once your order has been shipped, we have no control over the packages and if you have not heard anything within a maximum of 7 -10 days from your local UPS (for Canada orders) or your local post office (for all other foreign orders) regarding your shipment please contact them to see if they are holding a package for you by giving them your tracking number. Should you refuse or miss a delivery for any reason, we cannot be responsible for the shipping costs and they will not be refunded. You will be charged a $10 re-stocking fee if they are returned to us.
Because our company is based in the United States, our prices are listed in US dollars and our sizes are all shown in US sizes. For currency exchanges, please check with your local bank or on Google.
How do I convert my metric calf measurements to US sizes in inches? Since we cannot make a chart that includes every metric conversion size from centimeters into inches, please go to this link and insert your calf size for the correct metric conversion to US inches: Metric Conversions.
You can also use Google to find any other site that you choose for yourself. Once you know the metric equivalent in US inches, you can choose a boot that you like, look up your shoe size and find your corresponding calf size. You cannot order a specific calf size for any boot since each boot is already manufactured with the calf size shown online.
What, if any, are the additional taxes or duties that I may need to pay?
Canada Please be aware that there are customs fees and UPS brokerage costs to be paid for importing boots into Canada. These include Canadian taxes and duties which we have no control over and we do not collect these fees. The rates are dependent on the country of origin of the items (usually China) and the materials used to manufacture them (leather or man-made). For more UPS Canadian shipping information, please call UPS Canada or the Canadian Customs Department to find the applicable taxes and fees you may be liable for.
We will be happy to ship your package via USPS if you request this in the comments section of your order but shipping rates will be higher with USPS than the ones shown for UPS since USPS rates are different for each province while UPS rates are uniform throughout most of Canada. As we have heard from many of our Canadian customers, the advantage to this is that you will not have to pay brokerage fees and you may not be asked to pay any of the duties if the carton is delivered via the post office. The fees will be adjusted accordingly and you can email us in advance to find out what the cost will be.
Should you refuse or miss a delivery via UPS or USPS for any reason (duties, taxes, brokerage fees, etc.) once your boots arrive in your country, we cannot be responsible for any of the shipping costs and they will not be refunded. You will be charged for the return shipping and a $10 re-stocking fee if they are returned to us.
We are happy to report that we have recently joined the new UPS eTailor program and this should considerably reduce the high brokerage fees that were previously charged. Please see chart below for previous and new rates.

All other foreign countries We ship via "US Parcel Service Global Express Mail"and you can check with your local post office or customs office regarding the taxes and duties you may need to pay to import boots into your country since we do not have information on these rates for other countries. The rates are based upon the country of origin (usually China) and the materials used to manufacture the boots (leather or man-made). Each foreign country has its own rules as well as rates and they are accessible at your local post office, at customs or on the internet. You are responsible for any additional customs handling fees, duties and/or taxes. Should you refuse a delivery because of duties, taxes, brokerage fees, etc. once your boots arrive in your country we cannot be responsible for the shipping costs and they will not be refunded. You will be charged a $10 re-stocking fee if they are returned to us.
If we do not have your country listed, we will be happy to add other countries, if possible, to our list and would love to hear from you – please contact us.
What are the international exchange rates to US currency? We do not give any exchange rate information but please be aware that these rates change all the time. Your purchase will be based on the rate at the time the order is placed and that is done automatically by your bank on your credit card. You can access this information from the local bank in your country as well as on Google.
How long do I have to return or exchange my boots if they do not fit? It is important to return or exchange your boots as soon as possible to conform to our return policies. We require that your boots be returned for credit or exchange within 30 days of the date of your order so please be certain to use "Priority Mail" for any returns to the US. Please see our "Return and Exchange Policy" on our FAQs page for more information. We are sorry, but we do not refund shipping charges.
Please be sure to measure your calf before placing your order. Since we have a very extensive selection of wide and extra wide calf boots to choose from, measuring your calf will reduce the likelihood of your having to return your purchase. Please measure the circumference of your calf about 14 - 15" up from the floor (or at it's widest part) since that is the height of most of the shafts of the boots. If there is a portion of your calf that is wider than that measurement, then please order using the larger of the 2 measurements.
For our petite customers - 5'3" (160cm) or under:
We recommend that you choose a calf size differently than a taller person since boots are not made in petite sizes and they simply do not fit the same way on someone that is 5 1/2 - 6 feet tall as on someone that is shorter. It is the same concept as the fit on ladies clothes that are not made in petite sizes. Please measure the circumference of your calf at its widest point instead of at the top of the shaft (at 14" - 15") and order a style that is at least one inch larger than your measurement because if you are petite, your calf begins to get wider at a lower point in the boot than on someone who is taller. This recommendation is based on our retail store observations from 1988 - 2006 and feedback from tens of thousands of customers since we began to sell wide calf boots onlne in 2001. It is accurate 95% of the time.
Once you know your calf measurement, you can look at the styles that you like and each foot size has a corresponding calf size. This makes it very simple to be certain that you are getting the correct calf size.
