PLEASE NOTE: The Ranger and Ashley boots are identical styles. The differences between them are in the foot widths and calf sizes (please read below about David Tate special sizing). The Ranger comes only in W (wide foot width) and WW (extra wide foot width) and the Ashley comes in M (medium foot width) and W foot widths.
WIDE CALF to EXTRA WIDE CALF circumference with a range of 16 1/2" (size 7W) to 19 3/4" (size 12WW) as seen on our size specifications above. The David Tate boot line is manufactured in only wide foot widths ("W" with approximately 17+" calf circumferences) and extra wide foot widths ("WW" with approximately 18+" calf circumferences). They do not make medium widths in this style. If you are a medium width with an 18+" calf and would like to order a pair these wonderful leather wide calf riding boots, please order this boot in an extra wide foot width (WW) based on your correct calf size and you can use a pair of Dr. Scholl's insoles to make the WW width foot fit tighter. If you wear a wide width boot (W), you can also tighten an extra wide width boot (WW) by using an insole as well.
The Ranger extra wide calf riding boots have a 1" heel, a full inside zipper and an inside elastic gore for easy on/off fitting. These riding boots for extra wide calves are accented with a strap and buckles along the length of the outer shaft over an elastic gore which can expand further if needed (see photo). They have a padded insole, a non-slip flexible manmade sole, tricot lining. Our boots can be further enlarged by a shoemaker if needed. These very fashionable boots for plus size calves have an approx. 15" high shaft (measured from the top of the heel).
